there’s always hikers stopping by the cafe i work at that are traveling from mexico to canada, by foot, and they’re just so amazing to talk to. they usually sit at the corner tables and read books, ask about the progress of the others, and sometimes wait up for each other to share their different experiences. the one i met yesterday was a young man who was reading Fitzgerald for hours...
